Why Entrepreneurship

Official     unemployment figures in     Tanzania   suggests that about 700,000 new job seekers enter the   labour market   annually   compared to   only 40,000 new   jobs   which are created annually. In connection with this, the rapid   transformations   from   socialism to market economy coupled with privatization policies have   lost jobs   to thousands of Tanzanians.

Also, in   Tanzania, medical research findings suggest that jobless   young population tends to be more vulnerable to HIV/AIDS than the employed one. These developments have put the need for equipping the youth with entrepreneurial skills that may enable them to be job creators rather than job seekers.
